Food and Beverages

Below are some of my meals and beverages that I have eaten on my journey! I will be rating them on the Ashley scale, 1 being I hate it and 10 being I love it! I will also try to link the restaurants below so you can view their websites!

We went to Pasta Haus for our first dinner and let me tell you… I was blown away. A favorite dish of mine is just normal spaghetti with normal marina sauce. No meat, no nothing. This was a solid 9/10, it was a little spicy but was incredible as a first meal!
It was my friend Sam’s birthday so we had to celebrate with these raspberry prosecco Bellinis from again, Pasta Hause! 10/10 on the Ashley Scale
Next, we went to a cafe up the street called Tin Tin’s . (Scroll down to Sotsaker on the website linked for dessert items). This is called a Semla, the most popular dessert in Sweden made from a Swedish creme bun, almond extract, and whipped creme. This I would give a 6/10 because I like creme puffs more but it was defiantly worth the try!
This morning we had breakfast at our hostel. I had wheat bread, coffee (which is so strong) and yogurt which was so good. I would give this a 7/10, the yogurt was a little bland, I’m a big fan of vanilla greek yogurt and I think the yogurt we had was just plain yogurt.
We stopped at Cafe Husaren Hagabullen and got GIANT cinnamon rolls and I got a vanilla latte with Oat Milk. The coffee here is to die for and I’m really contemplating moving here.
For dinner, I had fish and chips and let me tell you… seafood over here is on a whole other level. John Scott’s Palace is where we went. We got there and there was no hostess and had no idea what to do (we really looked like tourists). We got sat down and ended up having to order at the bar and the food came out within minutes. It was unreal… 10/10
Mom if you’re reading this, please don’t be offended. I hate meatballs in America but really wanted to give Sweden a try. I think I might have to ship these in to the states. They were incredible. 10/10 for me not liking meatballs. These are famous at Karlsons Garage and I will be getting them again!
Food GALORE! While shopping at Nordstan, we had to stop and grab a bite to eat. After trying to find a place for an hour, we finally picked a small buffet place full of Italian food including pasta and pizza! Here’s a shot of what we all got! 8/10 for me! (Also in Sweden, there is SO much sparkling water! I’m a huge La Croix fan so it’s right up my ally!)
Eating like an America… Dine Burgers was incredible. We all were hungry for a good burger and we found the place. they had a mix of fries including normal and sweet fries. I also got a milkshake but before I could get a picture, I drank it all (it was so good) 10/10 for tonight’s dinner
At Vovlo, we had lunch in the cafeteria. This was a pulled pork sandwich with fries and coleslaw. I would give this a 6/10 because I like sweet bbq, this was more of a mild sauce! Still very good!
I’m a sucker for healthy food, so my friends and I went to the grocery store and made our own salads. It was only $8 and was an amazing salad with chicken, peppers, tomato, avacado, kale, and iceberg lettuce. 10/10, so fresh and good!
At the cooking school, we made salmon and potatoes as a starter! 7/10 because the fish was cold by the time we served it but it was still so good!
At the cooking school, we had REINDEER as the main course! It was very different then steak but I actually really liked it. 8/10
Chinese food! YUM! Chicken and rice and everything nice… 8/10 I still like Panda Express more
At Valea, I had coffee, salad, a burger, and potatoes and a really good dessert that I have no idea what it’s called. 7/10, the burger was a little dry but the salad was so good!
Pasta Haus again… it’s right next door to our hostel and is incredible. This lasagna was the best I have ever had 10/10 I want to bring some home with me!
At the Espresso House, I had. a Mozzarella and Chicken sandwich with a salad and vanilla latte, AMAZING! 10/10.
Himayalan salmon, rice, and sauces! I would give this a 7/10 because it was a little spicy for my liking but was really awesome to try!
Chocolate Cheesecake from Cafe Husaren and some earl grey tea… 10/10 the cheesecake was the best I have ever had!
Pizza and spaghetti please!!!! Pasta Haus-you will be missed!
We had to stop at Mr.Cake to get some great pastries like this red velvet croissant! It had lemon creme in the middle of it too, a solid 8/10!
Dine burgers again, I love the mix of normal fries and sweet potato! The burger was a cheese and bacon burger with lettuce and tomato! It was a little salty but I still would give it a 7/10
The King Size Deluxe, a classic shrimp sandwich in Gothenburg with rye bread, shrimps, eggs, mayo and lettuce! I’m not a huge fan of shrimp but it was good! I would give it a 7/10 it was HUGE! We at at the Heaven 23 restaurant which was fancy dining!
